How to generate 125 media publications using the report?

Customer

Startup Poland is one of the most well-known technological think tanks in CEE. Since 2014, he has been supporting and representing the startup community in legislative processes and dialogues with public administration and corporations. Thanks to cyclically published reports and studies, it presents a comprehensive picture of the startup industry in Poland.

Goal

We undertook the promotion of the fifth, nationwide report The Polish Tech Scene. 5 years, the premiere of which took place in Katowice during impact fintech 2019.

Difficulties

The challenge of this project was to gain media interest in the next edition of the report, at a time when journalists’ attention was scattered around numerous, attractive topics discussed during the conference.

What have we done?

Ideas

We started our communication activities by promoting the report among the media and participants of the impact fintech 2019 conference. Establishing contact with the media even before the premiere of the report allowed us to effectively gain the interest of journalists. Close cooperation with the organizer of the conference enabled us to position the president of Startup Poland in materials addressed to conference participants. Outcome? Full room during the presentation of the report!

Context

We based communication on the key conclusions of the study. Access to data from the past five years allowed us to prepare in-depth analyzes and obtain unique insights about the industry.

The course of the campaign

Thanks to the fact that selected journalists received pre-premiere access to the report, we opened the impact fintech conference with a publication about the Startup Poland study on the covers of Rzeczpospolita and Parkiet.

During the conference, the President of Startup Poland, Julia Krysztofiak-Szopa, gave a number of interviews for journalists from Puls Biznesu, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, My Company Polska and Money.pl.

On the day of the report’s premiere, we distributed the press release with the results of the study widely to the general information and industry media.
