Immersion is a startup dedicated to create applications and games in VR and AR formats. It works with many brands, such as Coca-Cola, Orange or Samsung. The company is based in Warsaw Ursynów, but as many as 80% of orders are carried out on the American market. It cooperates with the Smithsonian Institute and the Museum of Natural History in New York.
In cooperation with NASA, Immersion has developed the “Apollo’s Moon Shot” application, which brings the Apollo 11 mission closer. The startup used Augmented Reality (AR) technology, so that everyone can not only see this historic event, but also participate in it.
We undertook to promote the project in the media, and at the same time to achieve the ambitious goal of the application developers – to bring the history of the Apollo 11 space mission closer to the public in an innovative way.
50th anniversary of the landing of the first man on the moon was the main context of communication that we have undertaken. So that this historic moment is not missed, we have already decided to remind the media about this day. For this purpose, we have prepared a press release launching the application and an attractive pitch letter, which we sent to selected journalists.
What do TVP’s breakfast TV and TVN’s business channel have in common?
We suggest: both editors became interested in our topic. Thanks to intensive media relations activities, Piotr Baczyński – CEO of Immersion, appeared as a guest in the program Pytanie na Śniadanie and TVN BiŚ. Information about the “Apollo’s Moon Shot” application appeared in a wide range of titles from business to lifestyle – on the Internet and in the press.
With no false modesty, we can say that thanks to Immersion, this unique event in the history of mankind was celebrated in a special way. We are proud that we could contribute to this.
